About KAMWI PAY

Why we built it

KAMWI PAY is a social trust network for micro-lending in Kenya. Instead of throwing every borrower into one anonymous marketplace, the platform starts with invitations. Each trusted connection expands the network, and each repayment or default updates the trust system.

The result is a lending model that rewards responsible invitations, limits who can see whom, and prices credit using both individual repayment behavior and community reputation.

What makes it different

1

Invitation chains

Users join through invite codes, creating a visible trust graph instead of an open listing board.

2

Trust-aware pricing

Multiple independent signals including repayment history, network standing, and community reputation combine to determine your eligibility and rate.

3

Verifiable integrity

Critical events are written into a tamper-proof log that is independently verifiable, making unauthorized changes easy to detect.

4

Shared accountability

Defaults can affect the standing of everyone in the invitation chain, encouraging members to invite people they genuinely trust.

Core principles

Trust before reach

Visibility is limited to the people your network can actually stand behind.

Security by default

Industry-standard encryption, verified phone authentication, and real-time balance protection are built into the platform.

Transparent incentives

Borrowers, lenders, and inviters all see the consequences of good and bad behavior in the trust system.

Kenya-first rails

Deposits via M-Pesa, withdrawals to your bank account, and instant SMS notifications keep you informed at every step.
